Teriyaki Madness Recognized By QSR Magazine For Big 2023!!!
The industry-leading publication recently highlighted TMAD’s huge year of growth, driven by our technology improvements, growing team, and unique franchisor model.
Teriyaki Madness has big bowls and even bigger growth. In 2023, the fast casual teriyaki spot significantly expanded, opening 28 new shops, and granting 33 franchises for 78 units.
“It’s been the year teriyaki dreams were made of. Our success is a testament to the strength of our brand, the dedication of our franchisees and our commitment to delivering a superior customer experience.”
-Jodi Boyce, Chief Marketing Officer
TMAD’s 2023 expansion included a master agreement in El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua signed by a Central American restaurant group. They plan to start with 16 shops, then expand to potentially hundreds in Central America.
“I am optimistic about TMAD’s future as the premier restaurant in the country’s Asian segment. As we gear up for the franchise’s launch in El Salvador, I envision the aggressive expansion across El Salvador and neighboring countries. We have a lot of Asian food restaurants here in El Salvador, and there is a huge opportunity for TMAD.”
-Jose Garcia, Brand Manager
This year, TMAD entered several new states and awarded their first franchise through FranShares. Through a partnership with Benetrends Financial, TMAD franchisees have access to $30 million in SBA funding.
TMAD’s corporate team added ten new employees, leading to a “crazy productive” 2023. The team has made significant progress among P&Ls, labor scheduling, team training, and more through a new program, MAD U. Another notable TMAD accomplishment was the development of Mad Dash. Mad Dash is an integrated tech curbside program, set to rollout in Q1 of 2024. The technology allows tracking customers to be waiting on the curb with their delicious food upon arrival.
“We make fresh, made-to-order food in small neighborhood locations, so this best-in-class technology provides yet another solution to providing the convenience that our customers crave. We are committed to meeting our customers’ increasing expectations for advanced technology to make their lives better — Mad Dash is faster than a drive thru. As we bid adieu to 2023, we’re gearing up for an even more exciting 2024. With nearly 150 shops by year’s end and exponential growth on the horizon, we’re just getting started. So, what are you waiting for? Get in while you can!”
-Jodi Boyce, Chief Marketing Officer
